Day Twenty Six

Today was another working day.  I came home briefly after work and chatted with the guy that's been my contact.

I left a note this morning about the power and the lights in the bathroom.  As I thought, he had that totally under control.  I don't have to do dishes or get ready for bed in the dark again.  That is so exciting.  Here's what's new in the bedroom...

Here's the outside wall.  There was a miscommunication about the heat move, so we have a little jut out.  I don't have an issue with it.  It'll get trimmed, so the opening is symmetrical.  I like symmetry.

The switches are all put back together with the new rock.  It looks so nice.  Before, the wall jutted out some, and you had to reach around it to switch the lights from the door.  Now that's all flush.
The tentative plan is to get it all set for paint this weekend.  The guys have gotten used to me talking about how I want to paint; they're accommodating me.  I hope I'm not jinxing it, but I might be back into my master bedroom this weekend!

The new bathroom vanity came in today too!!  The guys offered to go get it tomorrow, but I was too impatient.  The crew will install it for us; I wanted to make sure it would work in the space--looked like it belongs--before they go cutting holes in the bottom of it.  It looks more gray in person than in the photo, but it is a pretty cool piece.  It was cost effective too.

I've also been busy painting the kitchen since the walls have been ready.  It took some time and my mom came down and helped, but the whole kitchen and pantry are all painted.  (Thanks mom!!)

The color is called "White Lie".  It's a light, washed out gray.  It looks bluish/purple in certain lights, but in natural light, against white, it's gray.  The trim isn't painted yet because I hate painting trim, and I only want to do it once.  So once it's the trim is all up, I'll tackle that.
