Third non-working day at my house this week. Though I did get a text from the contractor today. He was mystified by the husbands handy-work on the dishwasher from last week; I'm going with impressed, really. It was pretty fantastic. This opened the conversation up to "what's going on in my house". The tentative plan (key word: tentative) is to be here tomorrow "afternoonish". I'm hoping for the downstairs bathroom to get a toilet. Finger's crossed. I may have bribed him with some cookies.
My anxiety about the furnace is starting to get a little worse. The weather this week isn't so bad (read that as "hot"), but next week is looking cold. The bucket keeps filling up and we keep emptying it; it hasn't been repaired yet.
There wasn't much done construction-wise at the house, but I tidied up and made dinner. We had chicken yakisoba.

Pre-prepped. A lot of the work for this meal is front-ended. I have to chop up everything. I tried to do this as I went along once. It didn't end well. |

This is a photo of ramen. This is the best part of the dish. Cheap, college-student ramen. |

Just fry up the chicken with some ginger, add the veggies, the sauce and noodles. Voila--dinner.

Here are the bribe cookies... |
Bonus photo: Kitty was being cute and hiding in the space. I think she was happy because she had a good fill of chicken scraps. But then again, she may have been waiting to ambush the dog.
