Day Twenty Four

Today was another nonworking day; the lead contractor called me to let me know (woah, first) and he also told me that he will be here tomorrow.  I'm seriously considering going around with sticky-notes, and putting them on all the things I have questions about...do you think that's too much?

So though nothing was really done today, yesterday was a work day.

Tip #14:  Prime your new sheetrock.  I overheard someone at the big box store talking about how you really need to prime dry-wall, or it gets really messy.  After talking to one of the crew, he verified this.  So off to the depot we go.

I cut in and the Husband rolled.  This is usually how we work.  The walls in the pantry needed to be primed.

As did some of the walls....

...and the ceiling in the kitchen.

We also painted the kitchen ceiling.

The pantry had some taping on the edges, so the ceiling needed to be repainted in there too.

Another development is the removal of the dining table.  I may have pulled the trigger and ordered a new dining set.  So the Husband sold the old one.  Look at the room in there.

  1. How do you always make me feel so lazy compared to your productivity? I went for a run and prepped a frock pot meal tonight...?

  2. This was over a weekend; and I don't have a munchkin to take care of...in fairness, not much else got done.
