Day Six

"What do you want for dinner?"

"I don't know, what do you feel like?"

That's how this evening started.  And then we went to the grocery store.  Hungry.

We ended up with some good stuff from the butcher to grill ourselves.  Home-cooked meal #3 for the reno.  Not too shabby.  It does get really tiresome having to run around the house to get all of the stuff that you forgot that you needed out in the "kitchen"*.  (Almost as tiresome as doing the dishes in the bathroom sink.)

Here's the husband in our outdoor kitchen.
Today's goal was to finish the majority of the floor.  Yesterday, the tile guys said there was more to the subfloor prep than they thought, so they'd be an extra day.  The rest of the tiles went in and the majority of the kitchen is grouted.  Tomorrow, they'll wrap up the floor.  Then, I think the wall go up.

These are from today:

Here's the tile up-close, with the grout.  The grout is called "silver" something, and it's a light gray.  The grout on the backsplash will be the same color.

This is from the far end of the dining room.

*We're pretty sure they said we could walk on it once the grout was set, but we're scared.  We don't want to mess anything up.  It looks too perfect, so we'll walk around for now.
